About twenty years ago I returned to Sweden after a decade in Kenya, and founded my translation company, which I named Tamarind.

The name comes from the 1970s when I opened a restaurant in Mombasa, Kenya, which to this day bears the name ‘Tamarind’. Since then, Tamarind Translations has grown and developed into the thriving translation company it is today.

We hand-pick our staff, and we know that we have the best people in the business. Together we make life easier for you and ensure that you get the translations that are right for your organisation, and do it justice.

As a thank-you to Kenya and Mombasa, where I spent ten wonderful years, Tamarind Translations donates regularly to the Wema Centre, a home for homeless girls in Mombasa. This is my way of giving a little back to Kenya, in recognition of all that Kenya has given me.
